Traffic Spots Help Drive
Patients to the Hand Center
It’s a typical crowded
weekday morning on the Schuylkill. The not so aptly
dubbed “expressway” has turned into
a parking lot and you anxiously flip on the radio
to find out where the problem is today. Wait a second,
who was that they said was sponsoring the traffic
report?
That’s right, it’s
the Philadelphia Hand Center. During the month of
March, the Philadelphia Hand Center sponsored fifty
Express Broadcast traffic spots per week on radio
stations throughout the region. The ten second spots
offered both general information about the Hand
Center and information regarding the Hand Center’s
work in the areas of sports related injuries and
carpal tunnel syndrome. It is estimated that nearly
three million listeners heard the spots during the
program’s four week run.
